THE STORY

The Palm of Delos

In the heart of the Cyclades lies Delos, a small island that once stood at the centre of a remarkably connected Aegean world.

Ships, merchants and travellers passed through its harbours, carrying people, objects and ideas across the Mediterranean. Among the imagery associated with the island was the palm tree, a distinctive motif that also appeared on its ancient coinage.

Small bronze and silver coins transformed the palm into a compact emblem — a recognisable image that could travel far beyond the island itself.

The Delos Palm Earrings take inspiration from this ancient visual language. Each textured medallion has the softly irregular character of struck coinage, with a raised palm emerging from its centre.

Recreated in warm gold and suspended as a pair of earrings, an image once carried on ancient currency becomes a piece of wearable history.
