PAST EXHIBITIONS WITH NEW CHAPTERS AHEAD.
A CONTINUING COLLABORATION THROUGH JEWELLERY.

Across a growing series of exhibitions, Shinar Jewels has had the privilege of creating jewellery in collaboration with Oxford University's Ashmolean Museum. From the ancient Mediterranean and the cultural history of plants to money, power and Bronze Age Knossos, each exhibition has offered a different world to explore through jewellery. Together, these collaborations continue a shared fascination with objects, material culture and the stories they carry through time.

COLCHESTER CASTLE

A LOCAL LANDMARK. REIMAGINED IN JEWELLERY.
A SHINAR DESIGN, SELECTED BY THE MUSEUM.

Inspired by one of Britain’s most remarkable historic landmarks, Shinar Jewels created a unique coin necklace depicting Colchester Castle. The design was developed independently by Shinar, before being discovered and selected by Colchester Castle itself. Today, the necklace is proudly stocked in the museum shop — a Shinar design inspired by history, finding its way back to the place that inspired it.
