SHINAR JEWELS — TERMS OF SERVICE

Last updated: 30 August 2026

1. ABOUT THESE TERMS

These Terms of Service apply to purchases made through www.shinarjewels.com.

We are Shinar Jewels, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 09977697, with registered office at Office 8974, 321–323 High Road, Chadwell Heath, Essex, RM6 6AX, United Kingdom.

You can contact us at:

clients@shinarjewels.com

These Terms explain the basis on which we sell our jewellery and other goods to consumers through our website.

Please read these Terms together with our Privacy Policy, Returns & Refunds Policy, Shipping Policy and any other terms or information displayed in relation to a particular product.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

2. ELIGIBILITY TO PURCHASE

By placing an order through our website, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract.

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order with us.

3. OUR JEWELLERY

We make every reasonable effort to describe and photograph our jewellery accurately.

Product photographs are intended to represent the jewellery as accurately as reasonably possible. However, colours and appearance may vary slightly depending upon photography, lighting and the screen or device on which the images are viewed.

Measurements, dimensions, weights and other specifications will be stated on individual product pages where appropriate.

Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights where goods are not as described.

4. NATURAL GEMSTONES, PEARLS & MATERIAL VARIATION

Some Shinar Jewels designs incorporate natural gemstones, pearls and other natural materials.

These materials are naturally individual. Variations in colour, tone, pattern, inclusions, surface characteristics, shape and other natural features may therefore occur between pieces.

These natural variations are part of the character of the material and do not by themselves constitute a defect.

Where a product contains a natural material, photographs should therefore be regarded as representative of the type and appearance of the material rather than a guarantee that every naturally occurring detail will be identical.

This does not affect your statutory rights where an item is faulty or materially different from its description.

5. AVAILABILITY

All products are subject to availability.

Adding an item to your basket does not reserve it.

If we are unable to fulfil an order after it has been placed, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and, where appropriate, refund any payment received for the unavailable item.

6. PLACING AN ORDER

Our website allows you to review and correct your order before submitting it.

Please check your order carefully, including product, quantity, size, delivery address and any personalisation or specifications, before completing your purchase.

After placing an order, you will receive an electronic acknowledgement or confirmation.

A contract for the purchase of goods will be formed when we accept your order.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where we have a legitimate reason to do so, including where:

  • a product is unavailable;
  • payment cannot be authorised;
  • there has been an obvious pricing or product-description error;
  • we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse of our website; or
  • we are unable lawfully to fulfil the order.

Where we cancel an order after payment has been taken and no goods are supplied, we will refund the appropriate amount.

7. PRICES & PAYMENT

Prices displayed on our website are shown in the currency indicated and include VAT where applicable unless stated otherwise.

Delivery charges and any other applicable charges will be displayed before you complete your purchase.

We take reasonable care to ensure prices are correct. If we discover an obvious pricing error after you have placed an order, we will contact you and give you the opportunity to proceed at the correct price or cancel the order.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods made available during checkout.

8. INTERNATIONAL ORDERS, DUTIES & TAXES

Customers ordering outside the United Kingdom may be responsible for import duties, customs charges, taxes or other charges imposed by the destination country unless we expressly state that these charges are included.

These charges are outside our control.

Customers are responsible for checking any applicable import requirements or charges before ordering.

9. DELIVERY

We will deliver your order to the delivery address provided when your order is placed.

Estimated delivery or production times displayed on our website are estimates unless we have expressly agreed a specific delivery date with you.

Where the law requires us to deliver within a particular period, your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Some made-to-order, personalised, bespoke and Solid 18ct Gold pieces may require longer production times. Where applicable, estimated production information will be provided on the relevant product page or communicated to you.

Please ensure that your delivery information is complete and accurate.

10. RISK

The risk of loss of or damage to goods generally passes to you when the goods come into your physical possession or the physical possession of a person identified by you to receive them, subject to applicable consumer law.

11. CHANGE-OF-MIND CANCELLATION RIGHTS

For eligible online purchases, consumers generally have the right to cancel their contract within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.

After notifying us of an eligible cancellation, you generally have a further 14 days to return the goods.

Full information about returns, return postage, refunds and how to notify us is contained in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Nothing in these Terms limits any cancellation or return right provided to you by law.

12. PERSONALISED & BESPOKE JEWELLERY

Certain goods made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised for you may be exempt from the statutory change-of-mind cancellation right.

Where this applies, we will make this clear before you place the relevant order.

You are responsible for ensuring that any personalisation, measurements, engraving, specifications or other information supplied by you is accurate.

Nothing in this section affects your rights where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to conform to the contract.

13. SOLID 18CT GOLD & MADE-TO-ORDER JEWELLERY

Certain pieces within our Solid 18ct Gold collection may be individually manufactured after an order is placed.

These pieces may involve significant precious-metal, gemstone and specialist manufacturing costs.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to change or cancel an order that may have entered production.

Where you have a statutory cancellation right, nothing in these Terms removes or restricts that right.

Where an order falls outside a statutory cancellation right and production has already begun, cancellation may result in Shinar Jewels having incurred costs specifically in connection with your order.

Where an agreed cancellation occurs in those circumstances, any amount retained will be limited to reasonable losses and costs genuinely incurred as a direct result of the cancellation, taking into account the extent to which materials or finished jewellery can reasonably be reused or resold.

Where a deduction is made, we will explain its basis.

Solid 18ct Gold jewellery made to your individual specifications or personalised especially for you may be exempt from the statutory change-of-mind cancellation right where the relevant legal exception applies. Where this applies, we will make this clear before you place your order.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights in relation to faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods.

14. RETURNS & REFUNDS

Returns and refunds are governed by our Returns & Refunds Policy, which should be read together with these Terms.

Where you exercise a statutory cancellation right, we will refund amounts due to you in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Where required by law, this includes the cost of our least expensive standard outbound delivery option.

If you selected an enhanced or express delivery service, we are not required to refund the additional amount above the cost of our standard delivery option.

15. EARRINGS & PIERCED JEWELLERY

For hygiene reasons, we ask customers not to wear earrings or other pierced jewellery if they are considering returning them.

Nothing in these Terms removes any statutory cancellation right that applies to your purchase.

Where handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to examine the jewellery has reduced its value, we may make an appropriate deduction from a refund where permitted by law.

Please see our Returns & Refunds Policy for further information.

16. YOUR RIGHTS IF GOODS ARE FAULTY

We have a legal duty to supply goods that conform to the contract.

Among other requirements under UK consumer law, goods supplied to consumers must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.

Nothing in these Terms, our Returns & Refunds Policy or any Shinar Jewels warranty excludes or restricts those statutory rights.

If you believe an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, please contact:

clients@shinarjewels.com

17. LIFETIME TARNISH RESISTANCE WARRANTY

Certain Shinar Jewels jewellery is supplied with our Lifetime Tarnish Resistance Warranty.

Where applicable, this warranty relates specifically to tarnishing of the gold-coloured finish.

It is not a general lifetime guarantee against every form of damage or deterioration and does not automatically cover matters such as accidental damage, loss, theft, scratches, dents, breakage, misuse or damage caused by inappropriate care.

The Lifetime Tarnish Resistance Warranty does not apply to Solid 18ct Gold jewellery merely by virtue of it being sold by Shinar Jewels, as solid gold does not rely upon the same gold-coloured surface finish covered by this warranty.

The products to which the warranty applies and the full conditions, exclusions and claim procedure will be set out in our Lifetime Tarnish Resistance Warranty Terms.

Our warranty is provided in addition to your statutory consumer rights and does not replace or restrict them.

18. PRODUCT CARE

Jewellery should be used and cared for appropriately.

Where care instructions are supplied with a product or displayed on our website, we recommend following those instructions to preserve the appearance and condition of your jewellery.

Failure to follow care instructions may affect whether damage falls within a voluntary Shinar Jewels warranty, but nothing in our care guidance removes your statutory rights concerning faulty goods.

19. HISTORICAL & CULTURAL INSPIRATION

Shinar Jewels creates jewellery inspired by history, archaeology, art, objects, cultures and civilisations.

References to historical objects, archaeological material, places, periods or cultural sources are used to explain the inspiration and story behind our designs.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, such references should not be interpreted as meaning that a piece is an original antiquity, archaeological artefact or historical object.

Where a design has been created as part of an official collaboration, commission or licensed project, this will be identified where appropriate.

20. MUSEUMS, COLLABORATIONS & THIRD-PARTY NAMES

Our website may refer to museums, galleries, institutions, exhibitions, film or television productions, musicians, performers or other organisations with which Shinar Jewels has worked.

Such references describe genuine projects or relationships where applicable, but do not imply an ongoing endorsement, sponsorship, licence or commercial relationship beyond the particular collaboration described unless expressly stated.

Third-party names, trademarks and intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.

21. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Shinar Jewels website and its original content, including our branding, jewellery designs where protected, photographs, artwork, graphics, text and other original materials, are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, commercially exploit or use our protected material without our permission except where permitted by law.

Third-party intellectual property appearing on our website remains the property of its respective owner.

22. WEBSITE USE

You must not knowingly misuse our website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious software or use the website for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect our customers, business or website.

23. EVENTS BEYOND OUR REASONABLE CONTROL

We will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control where the law permits.

If such circumstances materially affect your order, we will take reasonable steps to keep you informed.

Nothing in this section removes rights you have under consumer law, including applicable rights relating to delivery or cancellation.

24. PERSONAL INFORMATION & PRIVACY

We process personal information in accordance with applicable data-protection law and our Privacy Policy.

Please read our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use, store and protect personal information and about your data-protection rights.

25. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our business, products or applicable law.

The Terms applicable to an order will generally be those in force when the relevant contract is entered into.

26. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

27. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and contracts between you and Shinar Jewels are governed by the applicable laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from mandatory rights and protections available to you under the laws applicable where you live.

Nothing in these Terms deprives a consumer of mandatory legal protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
